Parent Involvement

nvolved parents are what make the youth ministry at River Road Church, Baptist run!  If you are looking for a place to plug in you don’t need to look far.  Attend the Parent Chat to hear what’s going on with the students and sign up wherever we have volunteer needs.  Want to spend time with the students in a fellowship setting?  Sign up to bring snack supper one Sunday night or to chaperone a scavenger hunt.  If you are really ambitious, chaperone a retreat or a summer trip!  If you are very interested in providing vision, leadership, and direction for the youth ministry, ask about serving on the youth subcommittee of the Board of Christian Education.

Take a break from the hectic work week to chat with your fellow youth parents and the members of the youth committee.  Each semester we offer a time where you can come and hear what’s happening in the youth department, sign up to help, ask questions about upcoming events and share your ideas about what you would like to see the students do in the coming semester.  The parent chat will be held during youth choir practice in the youth area.

Are you curious to see what your children do on Sunday nights?  For our last Sunday night program of the school year families are invited to join their youth at snack supper and Current youth worship.  Dress comfortably and casually!
