Christian education is a vital means toward our growing into mature Christians.  In fact, nothing matters more than Christian education, for according to research into what makes for mature Christian faith, the conclusion was this: ‘Done well, Christian education has the potential–more than any other area of congregational life–to promote mature faith.’  That’s why one of church’s most precious statements, our church covenant, contains the promise that ‘… we will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together for worship, nor omit the duty of prayer, both for ourselves and for others, nor neglect Bible reading and study; and that we will earnestly endeavor to bring up such as may be under our care in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.’”
