When is the service?
What is the Worship style at River Road Church?
God is both holy and personal. To capture these in our services, River Road Church’s worship is both formal and welcoming. “Gracious dignity” describes our worship.
Is Communion offered?
We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month at the 11:00 a.m. service.
Is there a reception after the service?
Every Sunday a reception is held in the Fellowship Hall for members and guests following the 11:00 a.m. Worship.
Where should I park?
Once you arrive at River Road Church, there are two parking lot options. You can park in the North parking lot located on Ridge Road (behind the church) or park in the South parking lot (in front of the church) across the street, located on River Road. Directions and a map can be found here.
Where do my children go?
Sunday School classes are age-graded, beginning with infants through fifth grade. All classrooms are in the Preschool/Elementary suite. Sunday School is from 9:45-10:45. All preschoolers remain in their Sunday School classrooms during the worship hour for Worship Care.
Elementary-aged children attend worship in the sanctuary with their families. First and second graders attend the first portion of the worship service with their families and leave at the appropriate time for Children’s Worship in the chapel. Third through fifth graders remain in the sanctuary.
Am I expected to put money in the offering?
If you are visiting with us, we don’t expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. Our members understand, however, that our entire support comes from their financial contributions.
I have hearing problems. Is there any special assistance?
Yes! For those who are hearing impaired, River Road Church has special hearing devices that will allow you to control the volume to your comfort level. If you think this would be beneficial to you, pick one up from a Greeter in the Narthex.
