Dr. Robert Gallagher

Bob Gallagher, Minister of Music
Dr. Robert P. Gallagher came to River Road Church as Minister of Music in August 2011.
Bob previously served for ten years as Associate Director of Music at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Wayne, Pennsylvania and for five years as Minister of Music at Wayne United Methodist Church. In Washington, D.C., he served for eight years as Organist at the Cathedral of Saint Matthew the Apostle and also taught in the departments of Organ, Conducting, and Liturgical Music at The Catholic University of America. He served as Assistant Organist at Columbia University during his student years in New York.
In addition to serving in church music ministry, Bob has performed as organist, harpsichordist, conductor, and accompanist throughout the United States and Europe. A founding member of the Liturgical Organists Consortium, a group of five organists committed to the renewal of esteem for the organ in the Catholic church, Bob has recorded several CD’s and appeared as a guest on Pipedreams Live.
A native of New York, Bob received a Bachelor of Music in Organ from Manhattan School of Music, Master of Music in Organ from The Juilliard School, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from Catholic University of America. He also holds diplomas and prizes in Organ, Harpsichord, and Improvisation from his year of study in Paris.
At River Road, Bob oversees the vibrant music ministry for children, youth, and adults.

Dan Bagby, Minister of Pastoral Care
Dr. Daniel G. Bagby has served as the Minister of Pastoral Care since 2011. At the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond he holds the title of Theodore F. Adams Emeritus Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling. His education includes undergraduate work in psychology, religion and English; a master's degree in psychology; an M.Div.; and a Ph.D. in marriage & family counseling. Dan has pastored and been a chaplain for over 25 years. He and his wife Janet have been members of River Road since 1995.

Libby Grammer, Interim Minister of Spiritual Formation
Rev. Libby Grammer has been on staff at RRCB since January 2015, beginning in the role of Pastoral Intern and moving into the position of Interim Minister of Christian Education & Spiritual Formation in September 2015. Rev. Grammer works bivocationally, with a second job as a senior immigration paralegal, working from home, a position she has held with the same law firm for over 9 years.
Libby, originally from North Georgia/Southern Tennessee, is currently working on her Doctor of Ministry (DMin) with McAfee School of Theology (Mercer University, Atlanta, GA), with a focus in Justice and Peacemaking. She holds an MDiv degree from McAfee (2010) and an MA in Religious Studies (Theology, Ethics, & Culture) from the University of Virginia (May 2015). Her undergraduate work was focused in Spanish with minors in Religion and English; she holds membership in the Alpha Chi Honor Society (Shorter College, Rome, GA 2007).
Libby and her husband William Underwood have been members of RRCB since August 2014 when they moved to Richmond for William to attend VCU to complete a degree in Mathematics. Libby & William are both members of the RRCB Chancel Choir. They have two dogs, Paco (Pembroke Welshi Corgi) and Boober (large, hairy mutt) that serve as their children for the time being.
